*click* *click*...

Been working on this Desert Eagle model for a couple days now. Currently modeling it in separate parts so that I can animate it correctly. I still need to do a lot of minor tweaking, as well as adding in the safety switch, the clip release, and the sights.

Flame on!

Been craming tutorials ever since I got back from vacation. Recently bought a book on creating realistic particles without using any plug-ins call "Deconstructing the Elements with 3ds Max". Here's one that is particularly useful for a project I'm working on. The fire was made completely from particle source in 3ds Max.

All done with the modeling. I'm trying to work up the courage to try and texture this....wish me luck.

Up and away...

Here's the start of an f-15 fighter jet model that I've been working on. I didn't think it was fair to have a bunch of Polish students make one if I couldn't make one myself.

Did it blend?

Well, here it is...the final composition. Rendering out the different elements took a little longer than I expected, but it was worth it seeing as how I had to make the render quality look worse in order for it to match my video. All composting was done in After Effects. This is just the first part of the commercial and I plan to finish sometime. Right now though...I need sleep.

Will it blend?

So here I am early in the evening trying to figure out the difficult process of the camera matching utility in 3ds max when I suddenly discover that you can import a movie as the viewport background!!!! In my attempt to mix 3D and live action I've done some testing. Hopefully after some tweaking and enlightenment, this will work.

*UPDATE*

Well, after some thought and some work, I have come to the conclusion that I am horrible with lighting...but, I have managed to figure some other stuff out.

Some Very Old Stuff

After a recent exhibition I took part in to show off some of my work, I realized how much I liked my crappy old stuff. Though rough in concept, entertaining to look at.

This was one of my first sophomore projects. Story...take an ordinary object and make it extraordinary. This idea came from a little up pig key chain that had an led emitting snout. Yeah...I multiplied it's size a little too much.

This was a character/logo I created during my sudden "Afro" phase. I don't why I like Afros so much, (I'm trying to grow one as we speak, but to no avail) but they just seem cool.

And last and probably least is my logo re-design for an IUPUI based company named TASI. I say this is least simply because of zero communication from their end resulting in a seemingly waste of time...but.....I did learn some things too. I just have to think them up first.
